Very sad day... the bass on Hawkwind's Space Ritual is probably my favourite ever! And he gave me his lunch once... "you look like you need this more than I do"... and he was right!

But falling asleep at a Motorhead gig... a feat in itself (though I have tried during the drum solos of recent years).

They were pretty impressive band, on a number of levels. That said, I fell asleep the one time I saw them (1987). I had an early start the next day, and after they'd played Bomber, Ace of Spades, Motorhead, and Overkill, I figured that the rest of the gig was going to be pretty similar only not quite as good, so went to the back, curled up and got some kip.

Sorry just seen this now, after I'd sent a mail on same topic. I doubt the spam will bother to many, list seems a little slow of late : (

Lemmy died today. Apparently he was just diagnosed with cancer only days
ago and his 70th birthday was Christmas eve.

I'll be tipping a few back tonight while blasting some Motorhead.
