[kj] Metropolis

Just like with the football Simon, some people are prepared to pay £200+ to
watch a game with all the corporate hospitality trimmings whilst I pay
£25-£35 to see the same thing with a better atmosphere !!!

You have to ask yourself, with KJ global and UK sales, and a double dip
recession, who apart from Jon & myself would even consider shelling out such
an amount for this event ? If The Cult triple bill stadium show was
downsized as it was, there’s hardly an army of takers and the hardcore have
regularly enough got very close to the band for this show not to matter that
much. As Jon said, £50 tops for something like this in my book.

Let’s see how things are by the end of August – after all the dissent over
the delays to DBTR, I don’t doubt this venture will go down like a lead
balloon across the various forums.

I am very suspicious of this , how come this has only just been seen a week
after the tickets went on sale?

Which would have been the same time Jaz made his statement to Cormac ,
mentioning they maybe playing at Metropolis and Gatherers are welcome.

That to me read that it was a private gig and hardcore fans could get in for
free!?

Also after Jaz comments on not wanting to share a dressing room with The
Cult as they might do a meet and greet and charge the fans $200 a head ,
makes this seem even more suspect.

This type of corporate event is not what Killing Joke are about.

Part of me want to be there but I am very paranoid it would turn into
another Gems down the river fiasco
