Did his visuals mesh perfectly with their music?  Definitely.

I'm pretty sure Killing Joke's music was good enough for them to make it without Mike Coles but I do think he brought more people into contact with them, or perhaps brought people in quicker.

In a similar vein, I believe he would have made the sort of videos people wanted to watch purely because they were good videos and so the music would have got more exposure.

Makes you wonder why there's this long disassociation from Colesy.

The recent visuals for Killing Joke have been plain old naff.  I'm really surprised that (a) the band don't have sufficient pride in the overall offering to want something better; and (b) they don't have sufficient clout with their record company to insist on something better.
