Any Gatherers in the 'States recommend any particular channel's commentators or
coverage of the World Cup games?  For the longest, the english (U.S.'s) coverage was
not so good so I stuck with the spanish channels, but I'm now wondering if there's any
english(U.S./Brit./whatever) coverage out there  now that people are happy with.  Thanks.

Holla'.

I mean, Killing Joke rules.

That was appalling, fecking disgrace indeed.

They should be paid on performance.  Why should they bother putting any effort in when they are paid so much regardless? A team of amateur under-16s would have displayed much more passion for the game.

That was one of my favourite games of the tournament so far.
Did you notice how clean it was? No fouls, dives, rolling around on the floor
crying like little girls, I think there was only one yellow card in the whole game (for
a Brazilian of course). I think Brazil felt they couldn't pull off their usual playacting/cheating
when faced with such a professional and sportsmanlike outfit. Contrast with yesterday's game
against Ivory Coast - the last 15 minutes were a fecking disgrace, players pretending to be
hurt, diving, fouling, all behaving like primary school kids - although primary school kids have
more dignity I think.

There's something to be said for training your national team
under a brutal communist dictatorship ;-) N Korea were incredibly disciplined and
if there had been another 30 mins they might have come level or even beaten Brazil .
I'm loving all these "big" teams being taken down a peg or two - Switzerland
beating Spain , Serbia beating Germany , NZ holding Italy . Not to mention France
self-destructing and England 's spoilt multi-millionaire whining brats being made to look
clueless by the mighty Algeria . Can't wait to see what Slovenia do to them!

I think South Korea and Japan have both upped their game considerably since they hosted the World Cup. I don't think they'll win, but I fully expect them to get out of the group stages.

On another puzzled note, how did North Korea manage to come out with a 2-1 loss to Brazil ?? Brazil should have kicked their asses up and down the pitch. The best World Cup team in the world only manages to score 2 goals against a team who haven't made it into the group stages since 1966??

Truly, this will be remembered as the World Cup of the Underdogs. Since I don't support any of the big teams, I'm having great fun watching this!
