Shame on the Rejects! And no, hardcore fans don't -- having been at some infamous gigs in Las Vegas (where you had similar cross-overs -- or worse, when you had a punk band playing with a metal one), I've seen first-hand the destruction (as I'm sure others here have, too). 
The tragedy of it all ... ; )

  I heard when The Cockney Rejects played The Olympic in 1985 more shit was thrown then ever for they also played their metal crap! HA! LA Punks do not like punk bands crossing over to metal. Especially English ones that's for sure!

      Discharge were a great band! I got to see them once in Oct of 1982 at Florentine Gardens  with The Misfits, 45 grave,The Lewd, Crucifix and I believe The Atoms? They ripped! Anyway great hardcore band. When they played after that at The Olympic I believe after this time Cal got booed and shit thrown at him by punks who were expecting them to play their HC stuff but played metal instead. Now they have Rat from The Varukers singing and I am not into the new stuff much and seemed to have lost that spark.
