well i am not into any of those bands listed apart from the rave scene that came about around 88-the cure and killing joke-obviously!

still on the whole i think the 80s sucked in many ways mostly, thats just my view ok as i mentioned earlier apart from a handful of good goth/ska bands the rest might as well of not bothered. ;)

milindafgrant psbtw the cure formed in 1978(not in the 80s) i know cos i saw them live then ;)

Killing Joke, Skinny Puppy, Scratch Acid, Butthole Surfers, Tears for Fears, Depeche Mode, the Cure, My Bloody Valentine, New Order, Slayer, Metallica, Napalm Death, The Replacements, Beastie Boys, Faith No More, Melvins, Neubauten, Nomeansno, Minutemen, hardcore, thrash metal, house music, the Manchester rave scene and hundreds more bands/scenes that are slipping my mind right now. Not such a bad decade after all. Better than most, I'd say. Still, there's always gonna be good music, no matter which period of time you bring up.

Holy Crap -- Love Tractor! I used to work with their bass player's (Armisted Wellford) sister.

Ah, I miss the 80s.

One of my fave bassists was the guy from Pylon (early 80s--Georgia, USA)--he had that high trebly bass that was great to dance to...
