[kj] (OT) Record stores in Manhattan

what is a good book store like over there?
(i spend more time in those than record stores these days...)
you mean like borders?  i've only been into one of those stores once
and i hated it - a cafe/mall book shop is NOT what i am after!
there's a very cool book shop near here that is very nice, you can
smell the words as you walk in, and there are cats sleeping on the
chairs...
