reggea is like the partener in crime so to speak to the old school punks/bands of the day,i should know,i was one ;D))))))
 
i was so bizzy sticking up for someone- ok ;) that i put my foot in it,on later reflection i had herd of the matt ect band in question,that jaz/bpf were in,what a fool i was LOL LOL we all make mistakes,me usually when i am defending someone else point view ;P
 
milinda ps whats wrong with reagge? nothing i like it,much prefur the heavy dub stuff personally,and yes the joke were well into earlly p.i.l and there sound,plus they loved dub,still proberly do,well with youth/bpf back in the joke,there should be plently of dub around backstage!!!
 
ps jaz will proberly have a flask of tea and reach his bible LOL LOL!!

  Jeezus, I had NO idea old-school punkers n' similar types tended toward reggae. 
I thought it was a combo of tastes only quirks like me and my siblings had, like when 
I listen to Judas Priest and Konono No.1(heavy african) in the same 10 minute time 
span. Of course no one else is in the car then....

But the Matt Stagger band is always called that because it is easy.  An easy label in an instant gratification world. Maybe it isn't, Mel - just got a feeling it was. He could cover up his give-aways quite easily.
 
Anyway, of course we've all heard that Jaz & BPF were in the Matt Stagger band. As for wheter there's any dubby reggae-ness going on in early Joke, well, they were well into the whole PiL thing, the company, etc & if Turn To Red isn't played dub-style, I don't know what is !!!
 
What is wrong with reggae anyway??? Didn't punks love it back in the day? I fucking love 70's reggae!!!
