1.. Who are you ?

Antoni Adamiak

2.. Where are you ?

I've been residing in Welwyn Garden City for a while now but technically Isleworth, Middlesex has been my primary residence since 1992.

3.. How are you ?

Tired, exhausted, struggling to keep a 2 year old plus a 7 year old "teenager wannabe" in check.

4.. Heard anything good lately that you'd like to share ?

Yes, I'd toyed with the idea of taking the kids over to Duxford for this weekend's airshow. It is only 30 miles away, but with entrance being £24 for adults and £9 for 5-16 year olds, wasn't too keen on paying £33 when all we wanted to see was the Red Arrows between 12:00 and 12:30 - plus no other flying for 90 minutes afterwards - so yesterday Dawn packed some food and stuff and I headed off with Daisy and Henry just before 11:00, hit the traffic queues on the A505 after Royston but took the third right turning and parked on a (non-coned off) public road about half a mile from the end of the runway. Fan-bloody-tastic it was. Endless passes and loops & pretty much a full display with jets swooping over our heads. The kids faces were a picture, as they stood there gazing for half an hour with their inflatable Red Arrows. Then straight back home to revel in the cricket and football as England actually delivered.

5.. Where do you stand on the great 'Hosannas' debate ?
a) it's a flawed masterpiece - classic KJ

b) it sucks a big fat one

c) the songs are fine but the sound is awful

d) its OK

I'm still somewhere between 'a' and 'd' - haven't had much chance to listen to it lately though. Well, if anything the Ruts have doimnated the airwaves in my car, which is my best chance of listening to music, hence not too concerned about the overall sound quality.

6. If KJ were to do one of those one off gigs where they play one of their classic albums all the way through, which one should they do ?

I think it would have to be either Revelations or Firedances or maybe even Democracy - most of the other stuff (bar OTG) has had a fair airing over time.

7.. Favourite 3 KJ album covers.......?

Killing Joke (1980)

Pandemonium (1994)

Extremities (1990)

8.. Least favourite KJ album cover

Killing Joke (2003) only just ahead of the portraits adorning BTATS and OTG. BTATS might have been great if based upon artwork and t-shirts available (in the KJ tube) at the gigs ahead of it's release.

9.. Which is it to be - King Crimson or Queen ?
a)King Crimson

b) Queen

c) both of the above

d) neither of the above - I'm a Rush fan

b). Never really made any attempt to listen to or at least investigate King Crimson but I have to confess to being an "early" Queen fan from seeing Seven Seas Of Rhye on TOTP in 1974 then probably up to and including Bohemian Rhapsody's long reign at number one. Hence despite only having the Rhye single myself, liberating the Sheer Heart Attack album from my sister, and being aware of every song on the Greatest Hits Volume One, I've found myself buying the first 4 albums on CD over the past few years (at only £5 each) and might even consider buying News Of The World at some stage but cannot tolerate all that 1980's nonsense like Radio Ga-Ga. As for Rush, I remember being on a school trip in the early summer of 1979 and all the "rock" lads were into Rush 2112 ... on that same trip, at the age of 14 I bought my first records for about 4 years which were the 7" vinyl singles of Roxanne and Can't Stand Losing You, which leads to my answer for question 13. For my part, I more recently bought the Rush CD with Spirit Of The Radio on (Permanent Waves ?) and a work colleague burnt me a CD with MP3 of every Rush album on, though I can't say I've ever listened to it.

10.. Which Queen song would you like to see KJ cover ?

Can't really think of anything suitable.

11.. And which Crimso tune ?

Don't know any King Crimson songs I'm afraid.

12.. Whats Geordie's solo album going to sound like ?

Awash with the glorious sound we all love.

13.. Got any good gigs coming up ?

Well, there's the annual Cardiacs show in London during November plus the Feeding Of the 5,000 weekend at the Shepherds Bush Empire for which I currently have Saturday tickets. What with my current 3 year relationship (which has spawned a 2 year old son) my gigging days have completely dried up, but maybe that's not such a bad thing as I've had a bloody good innings. This year I have only been to 3 gigs so far. The Damned in Welwyn Garden City, Muse at Wembley Stadium at The Ruts benefit gig at the Islington Academy. Today though I'm an going to see a band that I initially wanted to be my first ever gig back in late 1979 (though that honour eventually went to the UK Subs in April 1980). Yes, after all these years I'm finally going to see The Police. Again, for me it's only the first couple of albums I'd liked before my own tastes went a tad darker (I was into Discharge and Crass by May 1980) but it's also my first visit inside Twickenham Stadium despite living a few miles away for most of the past 15 years.

14.. Where do you stand on the great 'Democracy' debate ?
a) it's a flawed masterpiece - classic KJ

b) it sucks a big fat one

c) the songs are fine but the sound is awful

d) its OK

Closer to 'a' than 'd' ... it's just a shame that the associated tour was such a shambolic non-event (ie. just a handful of dates across the channel) ... par for the course really.

15.. Peter West - is he
a) a top bloke - the Gathering would be a duller place without his lively contributions

b) He remains the consummate wind-up merchant - never fails in getting someone's hackles up.

c) A slightly sad character with too much time on his hands and an over large chip on his shoulder

d) Peter who ?

e) None of the above

f) All of the above - apart from 'c' which is partially correct. PW obviously does have too much time on his hands. He is my mate, well sort of. We've met up at Chelsea FC on numerous occasions though I haven't seen him for some time. For me life is enough of a struggle without all this mischief making. It does cause a lot of aggravation - those who recognise PW's traits within the initial posts from the fresh pseudonym just let it wash over but other oblivious to this possibly take offence and go forth, thinking this is just another petty bitching list. I just wish Peter West would drop the various guises, post as himself and put forward his own views and theories without resorting to such petty insults and bickering. The list would be an ever better place.
