  Well , as you did ask Greg: I would nt use the word "support" I will say that the word "relations" is more appropriate , *So why does the US have relations with many oppressive regimes, e.g. Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia* , well for starters I would nt call Turkey an oppressive regime , It isn't as open as some other Countries , but calling it an oppressive regime is incorrect . Turkey is in the process of applying to join the E.U and Turkey is working towards putting its house in order .
 The U.S has relations with Saudi (which could be labelled as an oppressive regime) because the opposition group in Saudi is Al-Queda , if the Saudi Government fell, then Al-Queda could step in and take its place . Egypt has a similar scenario , the Egyptian opposition is also an extremist group .
  That is why the U.S Government has relations with these Governments, because the alternative is even worse

Yeah--Pete's New World Order!

You are the one who is shouting Greg, and yet you accuse me of doing such!!!!
  You did also recently say that you are opposed to the American Government because they put laws in place to keep themselves in power . Well within the last few weeks the new Governement of Sudan outlawed the opposition party and arrested them all on false charges and gave them the death sentence......the whole of the opposition was sentenced to death , their crime being that they tried to overthrow the government (by standing against them in an election) . No doubt you will be opposed to this , why dont you quit wasting your time getting upset about Fox news and concentrate on the real injustices in this World , Why dont you get behind the American government and their quest  against oppressive regimes and support justice for the people of the World .
   Greg, why do you always seem to support the oppresive regimes?

Well I believe that all the recent laws have been beneficiary , Laws to stop people smoking in public, dropping litter in the street and making it illegal for dogs to turd in the street have all improved my standard of living , the law put in place to shut that twunt up outside the House of Commons complaining about something was also beneficiary , the blokes obviously a loon and should be locked up . Spending five years shouting out side the House of Commons about how fond of Iraqi children he is should have alerted the attention of Scotland Yard.   New laws are required as society progresses , I would like to see a new law in place to stop people shouting in the street , people shouting really aggravates me . 
What new laws would you like to see implemented ? ( That means "put in place", Mel)

Perhaps the real problem is when people dont worry about all these potential 
restraints, and just carry on as 'normal', believing that none of the rules 
put in place will ever affect them.
