With all due respect, Peter, it's on-list because it's *ABOUT* the list
and its apparent ill health. The idea of the Gathering, I always
thought, was a place to COMMUNE with other
like-minded/similarly-inclined individuals,....not piss them off and
scare them away. As a Killing Joke fan, I get enough stick in the
outside world that I'd like to think that we as a community of Killing
Joke fans STICK TOGETHER and PROTECT OUR OWN. The Gathering is a SAFE
HAVEN away from the idiots who slag Killing Joke off. You want to start
fights with sheep? Go over to ILM like I do and spar with the Destiny's
Child fans and people who think Radiohead invented the guitar. Alienate
the people who oppose you, not the ones on your own damn team.
My two cents.
Alex in NYC......who, having met the legendary Peter West, thinks he's
a very nice, funny, well-meaning, certainly off-center but roundly
misunderstood guy.
