What is so urgent about that? a record company of a long deceased man decide to re- release a three centuries old record from a band he was in before he started making decent music.
For one ,It is not urgent and for two it is not a "historically important" anything, your heading should have been "Record company cash in on a deceased middle -class poseur"

This may not be a big deal in the UK, but this has been very difficult to purchase in the US for the past THIRTY YEARS:
An expanded edition cd of Joe Strummer's pre-Clash band, the 101ers, has just been released. A few factoids (mostly stolen from the liner notes):
1.)The Clash were the most important band of all time (duh...), so the band that he quit to join the Clash is significant.
2.)The name 101ers was the addresss of the squat they lived in.
          3.)They originally played w/stolen instruments.
4.)Joe's earlier nickname was "Woody", after American Communist folk musician Woody Guthrie.
5.)Their 1st gig was a benefit in 1974 for some Chile political group--the same year that elected socialist president Allende was overthrown by the CIA.
6.)Their best song, "Keys To Your Heart", was a love song written for Strummer's girlfriend at the time, Slits member Polmolive.
7.)The cd contains two songs later done by the Clash--a different version of "Jail Guitar Doors", Joe's first political song called "Lonely Mother's Son" (never could make out that lyric), and a live version of Junco Partner. Cool!
8.)Their guitarist later joined the Raincoats (also cool).
          9.)The album fuckin' rocks.
