For those of you who have yet to do the math, Elana and I have been married
for 5 years now. (Sept. 9), just prior to that, she turned 23 (Sept. 5), I
will be 32 on Dec. 7, 2003, our oldest son will be 6 on Dec. 27, 2003. Now,
allow for a bit of time for the "get to know the other person" period, and
you will figure that Elana was slightly under the legal age of consent in
this state when we met, and I was well above.

In certain cases, there is nothing wrong with an age difference or
consensual activities. However, that is the rare case, my friends. Even more
rare, are when these things last for damn near 7 years (how long we have
actually been together), or more. Toss in all we have fought through, and
dealt with, just over the last year, and we still keep the fire alive.

Now, I am not advocating dating minors or anything like that, just saying
sometimes the typically unacceptable is the acceptable....and more.
