鹿児島大学「第１回鹿児島国際コロキアム」および
「第３回鹿児島国際科学技術フォーラム」のご案内主催

 国立大学法人鹿児島大学は、国際社会貢献を目指し、鹿児島大学
で発明された多くの優れた技術を、広く世界の平和と繁栄および
地球環境のために活用し普及させることを目的として、「
第１回鹿児島国際コロキアム」および「第３回鹿児島国際科学技術
フォーラム」を開催いたします。
本コロキアムおよびフォーラムでは「γグルタミン酸ナノ粒子を用
いたワクチンアジュバント（増強剤）」の研究に携わる鹿児島大学
大学院医歯学総合研究科の馬場昌範教授と、UCSF- Abbott Viral
Diagnostics and Discovery Centerでウィルス検出方法の研究を
されているCharles Chiu所長、またスタンフォード大学医学部で
ＨＩＶウィルスの薬剤耐性メカニズムの研究をされているRobert
Shafer准教授による基調講演とディスカッションを行います。
 馬場教授は難治ウィルス病態制御研究センター長として、
抗ウイルス化学療法に関する研究や、ＡＴＬの診断と治療法に関
する研究 、およびナノテクロノジーを用いた抗エイズワクチンの
開発などを推進しています。また鹿児島大学副学長（国際戦略担当）
として鹿児島大学の国際化を積極的に推し進め、さらに国際抗
ウィルス学会理事として活発な国際学術活動を行っています。
効果的なワクチンの研究・開発は、昨今のインフルエンザ以外
にもエイズや肝炎、がん、成人Ｔ細胞白血病など、さまざまな
疾病に対する社会的なニーズと期待が高まっています。
このコロキアムおよびフォーラムを機に、効果的なワクチンの開発
とウィルスの早期検出によるパンデミックの防止や、ＨＩＶ治療
の研究および応用に関する国際連携、情報共有等活発な議論が
できればと願っておりますので、奮ってご参加下さい。
