■−■−■−■ Bay Area Capital Connections III ■−■−■−■

The Alliance for Community Development and the Bay Area Council will host
Bay Area Capital Connections, our third annual region-wide conference to
provide critical business and financial information on capital access to
rapidly growing companies and start-ups in urban markets. These companies
will also be interested in "double bottom line"-i.e. financial and
social-performance goals. While open to all attendees, the conference
focuses on attracting minority owned and led companies.

Bay Area Capital Connections III will provide an intensive one-day
introduction to the financial resources and management tools needed to take
these companies to the next level. This year we are especially interested in
attracting Asian-owned or led companies.

development, marketing strategy, valuations and exits.

Bay Area Capital Connections III will provide an opportunity for selected
companies seeking capital to make presentations to a panel of investors.
Selection criteria are as follows:

1) Asian or ethnic minority owned or led
2) Able to provide risk-adjusted market rate returns to investors
3) Ready for financing from institutional investors such as venture
capital/angel organizations
4) Management interest and commitment to "double bottom line" performance
goals-i.e. excellent financial returns and the creation of new jobs for low
to moderate income residents of the Greater Bay Area
5) Located in or intending to locate company headquarters or significant
operations in the Greater Bay Area

- To apply to be a presenter, register online for the conference as an
Attendee and a Nominee and submit 1) a 1-2 page Executive Summary and 2) a
detailed Business Plan or PowerPoint Presentation to us at:
alliance4cd @ yahoo.com. We are accepting submissions beginning June 1, 2008.

- All nominations will be evaluated in accordance with their match to the
above stated criteria and on a competitive basis among those applicants who
meet these criteria. "Competitive" means we will be evaluating each
applicant's ability to deliver on both "bottom lines" as well as how
potentially attractive the nominated company would be to VC/angel investors.
We will consider presenting companies from the seed stage to later stage
expansion.

- Deadline for submissions: August 31, 2008.

- Finalists will be contacted shortly after this date and will have an
opportunity to receive professional advice on their business plans and how
to present to investors.
