Hello List,

I presume all of you received the email from FTDNA announcing the "Big-Y" test.
If you didn't get one or didn't act on it, you can check out the test via the
"Big-Y" button on your member page.  This test is only available to men already
tested at FTDNA, so it can only be purchased through your member page.

This is the most comprehensive Y-DNA SNP test ever offered by FTDNA, and it
tests nearly 25,000 known SNPs, plus it search more 10 million base pairs
looking for new SNPs.

SNP testing, as opposed to the STR testing done for the project, is typically
not helpful with your genealogy.  You do advanced SNP testing to learn more
about your deep ancestry, to contribute to the growing research on our
paleoanthropological origins and the growth of the Y-DNA Haplotree, and - from
my perspective - just plain curiosity.

The Big-Y test is expensive, at $695, however, it is currently on sale at a $200
discount!  But, THIS SALE ENDS AT MIDNIGHT, TONIGHT, 1 DECEMBER 2013!
