Well, that's one step towards losing indie-ness isn't it?  If you=
 
need to justify your choices to a distributor, that's also going=
 to 
become a bad precedent for later aspects of the business 
relationship.

More directly, yes, they'll complain, vociferously, which would=
 be a 
reason I would look towards self-distribution.
