Been on the list since around 2000, I think, so very much an end of an era. Even though I haven't posted for a long time. Still, sad to see it go.
I'm grateful for all of the lovely people I've met on here, especially those of you I've met in person.
Thanks for hosting for so long, Andy.

    Hi Gatherers,

my webspace provider informed me that the email list functionality we've 
been using for this list for the last 25 years will be turned off by the 
end of the year. Apologies for letting you all know so late, the 
notification arrived a few weeks ago but was lost in my to-do list.

Now - this list has not seen much activity in the last few years; I 
assume most of you won't miss it a lot. However, if you'd like to 
continue using such a list feel free to find another mailing list 
provider. My webspace provider might have a replacement service at some 
point, but not so far.
