It was that same performance that got me into them too. Wish I had seen the on Fire Dances Tour though.

This Tube performance was the reason I got into them. I had always sort of liked them but this was a WTF moment when I saw this and this is my band thing and have followed them since, the moment when I finally got the joke as it were. At the time I couldn’t get Channel 4 coverage at my house (it seems crazy saying that) so I used to walk up to my girlfriend at the time house to watch the Tube every week. Immense performance

It's a monstrous performance - bridging the time between the utter raw stomp of Fire Dances-era Killing Joke over to the increased chime of Eighties and what followed in 1984 & 1985.  But the version of Eighties is also brutal.

Great footage of the band, most especially Jaz and Geordie.  (Jaz is mostly behind the keyboards, saying little but looking like he's about to explode - compelling stuff.)
