Its also an only digital broadcast with no FM. There really is an eclectic mix on there, my favourite being Gideon Coe in late evening.
I went to see Oh Sees in a packed Manchester Academy. They are a BIG favourite of 6 musics Marc Riley and he plays them a lot. I wondered how many were there based on soley hearing them on 6 music.
BBC tried to axe it in the cuts a few years ago but changed their minds after the outcry that ensued.
Ye its on all time in my house/car.

You find lots of indie, punk, reggae, experimental stuff on it.
