[kj] Pylon formats

I have no issues with the multiple formats and hope they all sell well.

This is what comes to, in order to even attempt to recoup costs and survive in an era where the full album will be streamed for free immediately and permanently in a variety of means.

It isn't totally clear from the description on Pledge whether "Snakedance" is only on vinyl in that package, or if it's a different version. Hard to justify US$66 for the deluxe vinyl if the bonus track is the main appeal, notwithstanding the lenticular / 3d cover. In many ways, I'd prefer a simple 24-bit download also included with CD or vinyl.

Lets get one thing out of the way first.      

iTunes and the "Deluxe" 2CD set are identical as far as track listing.  No matter where you get the CD from.  And oddly iTunes lists the tracks the same as the CD.  So not 1-15 but 1-10 and 1-5.  Whatever.

Here is where the confusion comes in.      

Amazon UK lists the deluxe vinyl version as the identical track listing as the CD above.      

Amazon US has no vinyl option AND has no track info for the CD

So as of this writing.  If you want ALL of the tracks available you will need a CD or digital version AND the DELUXE LP version. And that is IF the Snakedance mix on the LP is different then the CD.  If the formatting shows up I highlighted the tracks in each listing that is not available on the other formats.  

Pledge is expensive.  Even for import.  I already pre-ordered from iTunes.  I may get the LP but I'm torn because of price and track listing.  And I'm a little cheesed about standard and deluxe version having different tracks.  And I'm dubious if it HAS to be on 2 physical records.  I'd rather have one nice vinyl and better packaging.
