[kj] Pylon again!

I'm always glad to have new music from Killing Joke, old or new. I was prepared for an album that was of the same quality and consistency as Absolute Dissent and MMXII, and I would have been quite happy with that.

But having heard Pylon, and discovered that it's far better than AD and MMXII (both of which I liked), I'm not just happy.

We all know what the band has gone through over the last four decades, and we all live with the knowledge that should a new album appear, it could easily be the last time we hear the words 'new Killing Joke album'. That makes me thankful. But discovering that (IMHO, of course) they've produced an album good enough to stand up next to EDAVRE and Night Time... Well, I'm a lot more than thankful.

If we never get another album from them, they're going out on a bloody high note that befits their legendary status.

I'll stop now.

Jim.

 This reads as sincere
appreciation for the simple fact that we're fortunate to
have yet more music from the band. I agree.
No need for an apologetic preface.

I know not everyone is going
to like this album, but for me there is so much to
be thankful for: BPF thundering again, Jaz singing a lot
 more, Geordie combining
melody and chiming with the power, to devastating effect.

 For me, Killing
Joke have hit another peak with this album, and I
 couldn't be happier!

 Jim.
