[kj] "Singles Collection" US release: Warning

The Pledge site for the deluxe box now has a separate entry for "5 rare KJ tracks download + updates" for 5GBP, or $8US. The download tracks are apparently already included with the tshirt, screen print and deluxe box.

Any idea what those might be? Are they in addition to the already-included rarities disc in the deluxe box? I haven't looked at this Pledge page for a few months and I don't recall the downloads being available previously.

Think it's only the last three but hopefully more. But not Transient Place. Hideous.

The only missing tracks are "Change" and "Turn To Red," although a case could be made that neither of them are true "A-sides." You could also include "We Have Joy" but I don't think that was an actual official release.

Also, here are the extra "rarities" tracks from the deluxe box set:

RARITIES
1) ‘Transient Place’

>From ‘Freispiel: The Soundtrack’.

7) ‘Wardance’ (Naval Mix).
8) ‘Requiem’ (Acapella Mix).
12) ‘iBuy’ – with Tim Burgess.
Track for Classic Rock collaborations CD.
14) Jaz & Youth Shamanic Ritual Live in the King’s Chamber Giza Pyramid
(Pre-recording vocals for 3.Pandemonium).
15) ‘Ravings of Jaz’
(A conversation on philosophy between Youth & Jaz circa 2003).
16) ‘Intellect’ (feat. Aboud Abdel Al)
Track from ‘Democracy’ (previously unreleased version featuring this celebrated violin player)

As Mr. Moss has pointed out, some of these may not end up on the final tracklisting either.

Which A-sides are missing? Maybe I can get pissed off again about that, instead of, you know, the topics of the songs.

Amazon has it for $14 with a release date of June 4.

But it appears to be a two-disc set only, without the 3rd rarities disc. Fairly warned, be ye. Just buy it from Amazon UK; the price comes out about the same anyway.

Two CD set. 2013 collection from the British Post-Punk legends fronted by Jaz Coleman. With a fierce intelligence plus a thirst for esoteric knowledge that matches a music that is visceral and almost spiritual in its primal spirit, Killing Joke are like no other band. This is a group who came out of Punk and then set out on one of the most remarkable and idiosyncratic journeys ever. The Singles Collection 1979 -2012 captures their ever-evolving story with a series of dark, apocalyptic songs, they have successfully combined Disco and Funk and a shamanic wisdom with the dark side of the Punk fall-out. Their influence has been enormous, with an unlikely roll-call of musicians taking their cues from the KJ catalogue - from Nirvana to most modern American Metal to many DJs and dance music mavericks. few, however, coming close to the band's innate power. 33 tracks.

I have it already, of course, and am still quietly smoldering over the absence of "Turn to Red, " "Pssyche" or "Change" instead of two tracks from OTG and "Fresh Fever" just because they released it on a split single for Record Store Day.

Also, "New Uprising" needed to be on that 3rd disc.
