Zappa had his shit together.  As an ambassador, he was making a lot of progress with Czechoslovakia.  Unfortunately he was outnumbered by the Right Wing.  James Baker told the Prime Minister of Czechoslovakia "You can do business with The United States Government, or you can do business with Zappa.  Make your own choice."  So that pretty much cut off his run.  Too many politicians in the White House sippin' on that hater-ade.  Then he got sick and that was all of it.
