on that note--
I was asked to do a piece on HR of the Bad Brains (asked by HR and his people)--
not sure how many people here follow him and the current situation---
but his bizarre/eccentric behavior has increased over the years, along with him tanking a few shows-- and at best these days him just strumming and humming along, showing not an inkling of his former self.
there is a bad brains documentary coming out which doesnt show him in the greatest light- and there was a character assassination of an article in a local DC paper-- so now they are wanting damage control.
his 'people' are stating- oh its all an act. these fickle, cloddish fans don't get it and expect an artist to perform to their every whim-- if HR wants to change his schtick an artist should be able to do so..

on the other hand, just sitting there and not singing at a show isnt cool either-- but that was after fans razzed him, so he clammed up.

on speaking to HR, he expressed personal vulnerabilities and some nights he may just not have it. and how is he really going to perform those songs like he did 25-30 years ago-- he may have been the only person out there who could have done so--
so a 'human element' needs to be factored in also...
but also he was very lucid in our talk and much of his new persona is clearly an act-- so is he clowning fans? people are accusing him of that...

So his camp bascially is asking for a lot of concessions from people/the fans.
in which the average person would not nearly get as much leeway, but for the eccentric rock star, its another set of circumstances...

anyway, ive been sitting on the whole project for about a month now-

Adam

They stand alone, towering over a lot of gutless saddo's who did not survive in squats in dirty old 70/80's London and produce ****ing amazing music.
