To me the erratic nature of the yes / no gig cancellations, and some of the
more rabid ramblings of Jazhole suggest pretty strongly that it's all about
someone's brain chemistry rather than anything cold and calculated...

If those fuckers were capable (as a unit) of cold and calculated...um,
calculations...they'd be charting the fuck out of the....um, charts. They
absolutely deserve to be (Euro Superstate, Ladbroke Grove, Endgame etc), but
no...

Killing Joke's last two albums remind me of the 90s, as in loads of decent,
powerful ass kicking music coming out regularly...I dunno whether the
current generation were all born without any testosterone or whether the
demise of the record industry is to blame, but the last 12 years pales in
comparison to the 90s. I couldn't enter into a serious debate about anyone
on that, it's beyond question. 

Killing Joke are still ahead of their time, ahead of the game, totally
invisible to the masses...and shooting themselves in the foot at every
opportunity.

In all seriousness, I'm still of the mindset that this isn't so much a
clandestine departure for the great unknown as it is a calculated,
face-saving PR-stunt.

I, of course, could be entirely mistaken. Regardless, has there been any
further "official" word?

Here's hoping it's all resolved soon, and peacefully at that.
