Yeah that's what I liked about Extremities, well just one of many things, the changes in tempo & maybe slightly different musical direction rather than the usual straight ahead roller coaster sound. Also just reminded of the J Biafra/No Means No LP which was out about the same time & had some similarities in that area. That was a superb one as well, The Sky Is Falling & I want My Mommy.....waaaaaagh!!!! And thanks also to the person who provides those naughty quotes, hilarious.
The Fungus Moth.
Challenging the Future.

Yes, that was what I was referring to.
I don't have a problem with unusual time signatures - obviously they have
that unsettling quality that is a trademark of KJ - but I have no "time" for
numerology.
The changes in tempo and 5/4 time used on ED&VRE worked better I thought.
Love the half bar (if that's what it is) before "MONEY IS NOT OUR GOD!" too.
Jaz was becoming an accomplished composer by then and it was probably a
natural progression to start exploring that sort of thing but... well, give
me a good Geordie riff and that'll work just fine in 4/4 time
thankyouverymuchindeed!

When all is said and done, OTG actually did foster a top five KJ song
for me. Jihad, the B side of America. It's fucking ace!
