I expect the album will be released even if the don't reach the target
because it sounds like Geordie has put a lot of effort into producing it
already. Plus Colesy has been helping with the artwork. It's probably just a
way of getting some money in advance.

I haven't made my mind up fully but I think I quite like the concept.
Although Killing Joke aren't a small band like some who genuinely couldn't
afford to release an album unless they reached the pledge amount, for which
the system was presumably devised for in the first place, they don't sell
huge quantities either and they do have a very loyal core following so it
makes a bit of sense to me. I wish they wouldn't patronise us by saying they
want the fans to get more involved, though.

In general I get them impression that the current trend is for
well-established bands to use the internet to target their long-term fans
who buy everything they do rather than gamble and spend money on promotion.

I didn't like the title at first and thought it sounded like a Jimmy Nail
album, but it has grown on me. I suspect Geordie is behind it, as IIRC he
doesn't care for those Jaz Coleman tombstone titles. Do we really need
another one of those?
