Stone Roses first album and Fools gold are still great works. The production is great. The guitar playing is fantastic and the drumming is astounding. An excellent album then and now. Yes. It all went plop but that's what hype does!
Agree with the comments that the Roses pissed on Happy Mondays. Terrible band!

Post Roses- no one has done anything that comes close. brown has made some very questionable choices regarding his behaviour from airline threats to spitting at fans. Not a nice man in my opinion. Squire disappeared after that shocking seahorses band and the only one who did owt of merit is Mani. A great bassist and a bit of a lad too.

Glad they patched it all up.

Unfortunately all that stuff did pave the way for the arrival of Beatles wannabes and a plethora or worse than average bands that made up Britpop.

Come on. Cast can never be justified can they?
