It's like the 'what's Jobs' really achieved' comments - d'uh!
Love, hate or be indifferent about the business aspect/practices but these people have had an undeniable global impact.

I think the Jobs/Edison comparison is richly deserved.
Edison gave us amongst many things electric light bulb, recorded music motion picture camera etc
Jobs the 1st macs revolutionised print/publishing & gave us dtp, revolutionised the way we listen to music with the iPod, then iPhone, iPad
