[kj] (OT) Adam and the Ants questions...

All of Adams back - catalogue has majesty in it, and Kings is a great romp. No one alive dare defile the chorus of ANTMUSIC! (huh huh huh - huh huh huh huh...)

Dirk wers white sox, is a unique document. I am now convinced it is the only thing like it ever. Adam was still a young man when he recorded the most frighteningly perfect account of sado-masochism. Bondage, submission, dom/sub.... it is all there. Amazing.

Cartrouble (pt.2) is a God-like experience. Seeing him on stage turned me into a fanatic, and that was last year! Basically he did stuff on that album which generated such an inertia that it carries you through anything else he ever does. Most of it (Wonderful being an attempt at an exception) superproduced product. Still worked though.

Whip in my valize put me off being kinky for life (there...told you all now). Beat me? Rubber people? Ligotage? Dirty bugger....

STAND AND DELIVER the cash for Kings, I say!

Hello folks!

Yesterday I made the formidable leap of actually buying my first Adam and the Ants CD: the funky expanded edition of Dirk Wears White Sox with the later singles on. It's great and all that, but it has left me needing answers to a few questions, so of course I turned to the wizened old gnomes of the Gathering...

a) Is this, as I've heard it called, his best album?

b) Since I like it, should I invest in Kings of the Wild Frontier?

c) Did the band routinely put blinding 'choons ('Beat My Guest', 'Physical' etc) as b-sides? Should they be tracked down too?

d) Can anyone here play 'Physical'? I think I have it figured out, but am I right in thinking the riff moves between E5 (022) and the open strings?

Help would be appreciated!

Jim.
