Yes is the answer to all those questions.

Friend or for and Vive Le Rock are good Amt solo albums as is Wonderful but I think you have to still be a died in the wool fan. Avoid the rest.

Look out for B side babies and also there are many boots of the decca demos. Excellent stuff. I can always help you out there it you like.
