Finding out about the cancellation through a "tweet" Ben sent out made me furious, and corroborated the gut feeling I had about this tour not happening since the get go, when BPF announced he would not join the band for the US dates. That "tweet" wasn't an announcement sent out by an official band member. However, I am appreciative that Reza was asking anyone who planned to come to the US to see the tour to get refunds. I know, it is not enough to calm our patience down, but at least ONE band member wrote.

Killing Joke really need a manager, or they need to select one band member (Youth?) to be their manager to carefully look after their business, their website, their press releases, their tour dates (and how come the band did not know anything about those infamous VIP packages?) Let's not forget the fiasco that Swinefarm has been here in the US with their poor distribution: it is another thing the band should consider, and a manager would have probably avoided.

Just sad.

True that. I am still hopeful a decent cause will be outed soon. 
But - but - what's really bothersome and damn near-offesive is how they don't even face the people about the issue/s. It's that seemingly dismissive, "nothing's happened" attitude that makes their enviable independent, "fuck'em" streak and a half-decent sense of self-absorption look like just a plain ol' "fuck you" streak and the band swallowing - *erm* "absorbing" - its head up its own ass - again.

As someone else said, we should probably wait to hear what the actual cause of all this is (if they deign to grace us with that information), but regardless -- it's just fucking unprofessional.

Agreed, this is after all how they've been operating for the past two
decades!

I'm just surprised they constantly go for the whole tour thing, when they so
obviously
loathe it. They ain't U2. A few select gigs here and there on a semi-regular
basis - some
festivals, a few club gigs in well-chosen venues etc - and most of us would
be happy.

For a band that was supposedly all about becoming masters of their own
environment,
they certainly seem surprisingly unable to organize the proverbial piss up.
It's a shame -
a (very) long time ago I fully expected them to go down the Jack White route
- own label,
studio, shop, pressing plant - er, island - etc. Still, never too late eh
chaps?
