More to the point, why did someone pay, what, maybe $5000-$10000 or more to make a video for a single that came out in limited release a month ago from an album that came out 9 months ago?

Me no get.

You'd think by this point in the proceedings, KJ would stop 'chasing the dragon' and would simply follow their own muse (and/or let Mike Coles get on with it).
I have nothing against animated videos (although it does seem like shorthand for: "We're old and no longer photogenic"), but I just didn't find this video that compelling. It certainly doesn't tell me much about Killing joke.
Just my two cents.

Involving Mike Coles in their video productions would have been the right move, still would be!. Sadly it seems this is not going to happen.

Although I actually like the ESS animation, in general, I have never been that impressed by their videos.
Some of their artwork however, has been brilliant...and I think the band should be forever indebted to Mike Coles.

"A New Day" had its silly moments, but I still like it.

They do have a rather patchy record on video though (Geordie as a smurf anyone?)

What would you consider to be their best?

"it seems this will be the best KJ video ever"
This is quite assuredly not the case.
