"Enfield’s Sony distribution centre, also home of PIAS Distribution, was set on fire in the London riots last night.
The extent of the damage is yet to be confirmed, but it’s believed to be severe: comments from some of the countless labels that work with PIAS – amongst others, Warp, Ninja Tune, Young Turks and Sunday Best – have referred to stock going “up in flames” and the warehouse being “burnt down”.
According to a Sony spokeswomen, the label “cannot determine the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage yet because it’s not possible to enter the building.”
The full list of labels that distribute through PIAS is available on their website, but it’s currently down, so Drowned in Sound members have posted the information in their forum for reference."
