I don't want to offend anyone who lives in that part of town, but I once stayed around there for a week.  A uniquely rough and intimidating time.  Everywhere else in London save Kings Cross never felt that scary, contained so many dodgy people etc.
I'd imagine this happened because the internet went down for a bit, really?  I was there down the road for the Toxteth riots in the 1980's.  It only ever goes so far.  Usually, the home areas of the rioters.  Surely we'd all go to the richest areas?  Says a lot about their mentalities?

But will this affect Morrissey being on the Brixton Academy tonight???????

An isolated event but last year with the incoming coalition on an austerity ticket, and no World Cup or Olympics to distract, I predicted to many people that the summer of 2011 could be 1981 revisited & that was before announcement of a Royal Wedding !!! Will it spread like wildfire ? Only time will tell.
