Yes Rob, he has a business to run and I think KJ is getting in the way! Ha
was also messed around on this one and was the last to know about the dates.
I know Benny is still on a retainer but is he high profile?

Other commitments is all that would be fair to say.?

It's his business really.?

Shame.?

Best one of the lot.?

Anyone shed any light?
BPF is the much missed icing on what was becoming a rather wonky cake.

Drummer wise, I'd love it if they went crazy & got Grohl to temp.
Would be a shrewd move business wise but also give them, IMO much needed new
exposure.
Reading reviews & seeing the pics/vids the audience seems to be a dwindling
list of 40/50-somethings, be nice to expand the fan base, spread the word &
see some young blood in there.

Well he has been drumming for Calvin Harris which may carry some weight in
some quarters but not with the average KJ fan.

TBH, if it ain't Paul it might as well be anyone unless Grohl did it!!!

I suppose it's fair to remember that prior to the reformation, Big Paul had
his own life going, with a wife and a career -- all of which he put back on
hold. It's not unreasonable to expect him to want to tap back into that
every now and again (just as Youth did recently with that family matter).
Still -- Killing Joke losing BPF a second time is nothing short of
heartbreaking ... especially for ticket holders. Replacement nominees: 1.
Atkins (would he still be up for it?)
2. Grohl (he won't --- the Foos are about to release an album)
3. Ted Parsons (I wish)
4. Philthy Animal Taylor (he's fuck it up, but it would be a laugh)
5. Stephen Morris from New Order (the man's sorely underrated)
6. Budgie (it would be more credible than playing with The Mission, which is
what he's doing nowadays) Alex in NYC -----Original Message-----

Best one of the lot.

+++++++++++++

Out of curiosity, what is Paul's business?

I wonder if this means BPF is simply sitting out the rest of the tour dates
for 2011 or has dropped out of the band "permanently?"

Also, it's typical Killing Joke when fans find out about stuff like this
through other fans' conversations with band members at a
gig instead of through some official means like say, their website ....
especially, well after tickets for the rest of the dates
affected have gone on sale.

And I agree, BPF was a *huge* element that made the last couple years' shows
work so well. I know I commented after the Wiltern
show in LA a few months ago that he was certainly the glue and the engine
that kept the band on track that night.
