[kj] Endgame(s)mix

Then again, I bet if you netcasted some of their better mixed material from
the past it would kick ass with none of the sonic short comings heard on
endgames.

This possibility is the inherent base of the fears for the mix of KJ 13

Glad you all came out of the closet before me...

After the initial excitement of a new song, I was distinctly
underwhelmed, a large part of that because it sounded so 'orrible.
Light and dark seems to have been replaced by a big bowl of mush.

(And I'm not just saying this because I might now be having a meaningless
3 days in Prague for which I gave up my Iggy & Stooges London gig ticket
because
I couldn't afford the time and money for both, oh no, not at all).

But like you say, it is an mp3 of a net broadcast - not exactly hi-fi.
Like anything with KJ 2010, it seems, we have to wait and see.

I totally agree. After reading most of the comments yesterday, I
thought I must be the only one who thought the mix of this track is
dreadfull. The drums dont sound like the tribal Big Paul of old, much
more rocky than I was expecting. The bass, although its doing
'something', seems a bit lacking in punch and clarity. The whole thing
reminds me of the mix on the last album - total wall of sound
production with none of the individual instruments sitting within
their own space in the mix. Like Marc & Todd said, it could be because
its an mp3 ripped from a net radio station, which has squeezed the
life out of this mix. I'll have to reserve judgement until I hear the
final release, but from what Ive heard so far, it doesnt bode well.
