[kj] A few quick Boston notes

Managed to sneak in (if you can call brazenly walking in the front door
"sneaking in") to see the boys soundchecking Requiem and the first minute of
LLB.

Was then (doubly) surprised when the setlist was being taped on the stage
and LLB wasn't on it. (Was also very disappointed to see that ESS was
missing as well. Dammit.)

If I was Geordie's tech, I wouldn't last five minutes ... and quite possibly
wouldn't be able to bring myself to ever listen to the band again! :D

As previously mentioned, no between-songs banter ... the band wasn't phoning
it in by any means, but there was definitely a feeling of expediency about
the proceedings. They started slightly late (was supposed to be 10:15, they
took the stage at 10:36) and ended just a couple of minutes before midnight
(and also excised Complications from the encore - it was on the setlist) ...
perhaps they were struggling to meet a curfew.

TWH was massive. Like, FUCKING massive. Full disclosure: it's in my top
three from AD and has been from first listen. I'd have to say that if I'd
been one of the haters going in, this performance would have converted me.
I've never heard Jaz more powerful. It was probably my favorite of the
night. (Commence stone-throwing.)

Best KJ show for me since Boston '94 (my favorite show of all time from any
band), with my other shows being Boston '03 and the two nights in NY in '08.
This one tops the NY shows, if for no other reason than the new stuff is so
great. TWH and Cull, while pressed against the stage amongst a swarm of
rabid KJ fandom ... it was like when Axis shook under the power of Exorcism
in '94. That will never be duplicated, but this came close. Grand stuff.
