Yeah, BUT--those 2 songs use the electronics as an embellishment, an extra component. Requium and FTL still have the pounding (real) drums, searing (real) guitar, and dubby, pulsing (real) bass guitar.
With the exception of the 2 crap albums, OTG and BTATS, Killing Joke have always used electronics as just another instrument, not the whole package (that's why their keyboard players are often unnamed
and standing in the dark on the side of the state).

That would be tragic more don't, and with a full Chelsea-Clinton-wedding size cake of irony in order then, since, the first song on the first ever Killing Joke album has nothing but an electronic pulse (not only) opening the song, (but also) sustaining it throughout and, at end, closing it (the song).

P.S. the first thing I evern noticed and liked about Killing Joke were the opening rhythms and keyboards of Follow The Leaders.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h92iB9WJ1Lc

I just think that 'we' are in a minority on the list here, in liking electronic music for starters...unfortunately it seems to translate to liking 'Trance' or 'House'...you know, that of the mass market variety..

I think everyone's missing the point (or just having a damn good humourous stab at djs). Just like nobody ever bought a record to watch it spin (not even a Killing Joke album), nobody ever goes to a club to watch the dj. Ever.
Watching him has nothing to do with what he does to the place. Just like no one ever turned on the radio (in its early years) to watch the radio but instead to let the story being told take you to an awesome place (think 'War Of The Worlds'). Also, no one ever went to an ancient storyteller just to watch him, but instead to trip out on his magickal storytelling talents that can take you to 'a much better place.' Only with a quality-dj/club you do the same for $20 + 2drink.minimum.

And yes, there is something magickal-squared to an awesome live performance that makes it better, IMO, than any dj gig and is why I will always prefer live gigs, but still, a good DJ who can really "carry a room" (and for, say, 4hrs. vs. a 90min. gig) is very much worth paying for also.

... ... ... ... ... ...

[looking at the current state of things..]

'Who has the fun..
..is it always a man with a gun...?
Someone must have told him if you work too hard... you can sweat"
