I saw the setlist from last night's show on Blabbermouth and it, at least, is pretty awesome. Lots of Louder than Love/Screaming Life selections. Still, I can't imagine it being any good. If I'm wrong, I will say so.

True, I saw them at L'Amour in Brooklyn with Voivod & Faith No More, and they were mighty to behold. Constant motion and...er... hair, just like Charles Peterson's photographs.  To be fair, I saw them again several times later and their enthusiasm definitely cooled over they years. The final time I saw them was circa SUPERUNKNOWN, and it was like watching four mannequins (and not in a cool Kraftwerky way).

I'd still be curious to check them out.

Alex was at an early live show and said they practically rocked a hole through the roof, however I’m not sure which era that was. I’ve heard two firsthand reports from their 1994 gig in Auckland that it was one of the best live shows ever. I saw them in 1997 and they were awesome.

>If it makes you feel any better, it's sure to be a TERRIBLE show. Soundgarden, even in their heyday, were a studio-band only. Live, from around Badmotorfinger and on, they were shaky at the best of times. I can't imagine Cornell being able to do those songs any justice these days. This whole thing with every single band in the world eventually getting back together, 90 percent of them should just let sleeping dogs lie.

Well, the ball was dropped yesterday and today the line was INSANE to get a ticket and of course ticketmaster sold out in no time. I could cry. I do not have a ticket, plus I have to work. Just to make matters worse, Exene is playing a free show earlier in the evening. FTW.
