Hey, it's a music forum. We debate these things. I have uber-respect for Alex, obviously. Alex knows his shit.
And yet - I just think he hasn't either heard the right Jay Reatard material, or has already decided he ain't gonna like it, no matter what comes across his plate.
I mean - the guy died at 29 and al his output in various band titles came out last decade. he was on the cusp of "beak out artist" before his death -- but the idea to me that a song by My Chemical Romance cold rump any single sng the man did in the past decade makes my jaw drop.
