The Forum in Kentish Town. With GRAILS in support. It really was very good.

BOLLOCKS!!

I really hope you saw them at Butlins. If they played anywhere I could have gone, I'll be very disappointed.

I saw The Jesus Lizard earlier this week. Duane Dennison had one of the best guitar tones I've ever heard. Custom aluminium guitar into a 100w Hiwatt. Put Geordie to shame I'm afraid to say...

effects loop of the Dragons I reckon, which he's running the Line 6 delay thru.

Not sure the guitar would be the cause of phase cancellation, short of a wobbly pick up. More likely to be either his effects set up, or how the sound guy is running him to monitors and/or rig.
On the change clip from Heaven, you see him going from mon to stack...they need to adopt a KJ sound guy, I reckon.

I think Geordie needs to bin the Framus Dragon amps. Not sure what the alternatives are, but they're the root cause of his recent problems both technically and aurally.

Some random thoughts that other threads jarred loose:

After the technical difficulty with phase cancellation that Geordie had last week at Heaven, Youth told him during rehearsals for Minehead that he should switch to a solidbody. Geordie of course ignored him and during a break, Youth started playing Geordie's ES-295. Very quickly, Youth shouted out how great all the overtones and harmonics were that came swirling out. Pretty funny to picture this scene.

Random bit #2.

At the Heaven show, I purchased the boxed 4 cd set of the live 2008 shows. I had these already in the separate night format but decided I needed the box. No regrets! The photos inside truly speak a thousand words of the intensity, power and drama that was delivered on that 2008 tour. Very nicely packaged and I'd say a must for any completeist and a great introduction for beginners or late-comers. Highly recommended.
