Fuck me. That sounds like a recommendation tailored specifically to me. I'll investigate it on the basis of that review, as Cameron is rarely unreliable. If he has made me buy a recent Manics album under false pretences, however, I will be cross.

Out of interest...

In the current issue of Mojo, Keith Cameron - a writer I usually trust
to speak sense - says the new Manics album has "echoes of Magazine, the Banshees,
Killing Joke, the Skids.." and throws PiL and Jesus Lizard comparisons in there also.
