[kj] Reformation

Fripp would wipe the floor with Jaz, if the latter would let him get a word
in edgeways.

Speaking as someone with all the King Crimson Collector's Club CDs, and an
earnest desire for Mr Fripp to relent and play some KC dates in the UK (I
seriously considered flying to New York last year to see them play), I
wholeheartedly concur.

I also like the Pink Floyd that is a) Waters inclusive and b) not about to
launch into Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast. I wouldn't describe Floyd as prog,
though.

Speaking of Fripp, I thought I had done all my purchasing of KC albums, what
with the original releases, the first CDs, the "Definitive Edition" CDs
(hah!) and the remasters.

I now hear that borderline genius Steven Wilson of the transcendental
Porcupine Tree is remixing the whole bloody lot into 5.1 surround! The 5.1
PT discs are so fantastic, though, that I'll have to do a fifth dip.

Hell with Roger Waters. Put Jaz Coleman in a room with Robert Fripp. After
all, they would have more in common. Robert Fripp was the man responsible
for turning Daryl Hall on to Alester Crowley. 62 years old, and can still
shred wallpaper for 5 miles on guitar! I'm so sick of everybody acting like
Pink Floyd was the only progressive band in the world! They Are Not!
