[kj] "Savage Freedom"

Then you've got good taste! I agree that all the albums except those 2 are pretty good. The KJ albums I was most obsessed with (in terms of listening to them over and over after they were released) were Revelations (dark, dissonant, and different--for 1983--but still catchy in parts), Fire Dances (cool lyrics as well as music) and Pandemonium (those metally riffs really grew on me)...

I have always have been fond of Democracy ever since it came out to be honest and still listen to it repeatedly!! BTAT and OTG are my least favorite albums. Fire Dances I have also liked! With the exception to BTAT and OTG, I love the entire discography!

I wonder the reverse, how many have not liked a cd or period
of KJ music but later saw the light and reversed course?

..here goes... [confessional]

I for one never liked much the debut cd (save for Requiem),
Night Time (save for Eighties), or BTATS (save for Victory and
Wintergardens).
The same for Fire Dances, but I ended up really liking Fire Dances
just recently (tho' it's prolly more to do with my endlessly fiddling
with the equalizer bands to make it punchier and less shrill).

Hm, wonder if i'm still on the guest list for next tour?

... ... ... ... ... ...

[looking at the current state of things..]

save me from Tomorrow..
I don't want to sail in this Ship Of Fools...'

Just my two cents.

2 cents well spent sir, but why do we feel the need to apologise for listening to the alledged "untrendy" albums. I love pretty much ALL of KJ's stuff, yet i seem to find divisions amongst the faithfull about the music. Is'nt it all part of the glorious story? Not having a go at you Alex, i love you like a brother, like i love like brothers, all the Gatherers i've met, apart from the girlie's, cos i love them like sisters, it's just something i've noticed over the years that's all. Truthfully, people on this list have been almost pilloried for liking certain albums, songs and i just find that wierd. I like Democracy. I like it all, yes even OTG to a degree. Bet i howls of derision now lol.
