Original FA ending is on the SE DVD, and is as preferable an ending as
Cary Grant posting his dead wife's incriminating letter in Hitchcock's
"Suspicion".

FFS! They're remaking The Stepfather? One of my favourite 80s films,
and Terry Quinn's towering performance. "Who am I here?" Incredible! I
don't have it on DVD though. Is there a decent release?

What's next? Remaking Friedkin's excellent "Rampage", another
forgotten classic? Clearly I can't wait for the "Suspiria" remake.
