[kj] OT: Tender, moving YouTube video

I am writing off the teabaggers, not you you fucking ballbag.

I've expressed my views about Obama and his Wall-street colluding
administration already. I have practically no faith in him at all. Do you
read my posts before you go calling me blinkered? I watched Glenn Beck (was
it?) for 10 mins on youtube last night, and some of what he said made sense,
esp when he said that they are anti govt not anti Obama. But that's not what
the placards I read said. I also watch a lot of Ron Paul on youtube. (Along
with Ann Coulter and Bill O'Reilly, only to laugh at them). I don't get what
they are on about. The tax rates they are protesting have been incumbent for
16 years, they were inherited by Obama from Bush, and Obama raise in the top
tax rates of the extremely wealthy (250K) still leaves it below the Reagan
administration's level. So, no probs you're whingeing about taxes, but leave
Obama and all that crap about socialism out of it because it was worse under
previous Republican administrations FFS.

How you say what you say is often as important as the message. Actions speak
louder than words. Be open honest and up front with your message - if you
have to resort to bullshit, pretend you have more popular support than you
actually do, make up a media circus to appear like a legit grassroots
movement, then I turn off, not because I'm blinkered, but because you've
just doused yourself in bullshit as far as I'm concerned, and I don't have
the time or will to filter out any legit arguments from the nonsense. I'll
wait until next time, I write this tea bagging thing off.

I can't stand this high and mighty attitude that just because I called
bullshit on something because of the way it's couched (in deception and
manipulation) that I'm blinkered and only looking for an excuse to not
listen. I called out the media circus on Obama's wife. I called him out on
his bailouts. I called him out for hiring the Wall Streeters who got the
world into the mess it's in now. I called him out for colluding with Wall
Street.

I probably know more about American politics than most Americans.

You judge before you hear of anything I have to say? I expected more from
you.

By attacking something that does not exist as a means of trying to defeat
it, you simply emphasize
the point of a certain group of people not being able to hear anything out
and go around with their
blinders on.

The other side's protest is a manipulation from the top down made to look
like a grass roots movement though, that pretty much renders anything you're
going to say suspect in my book. It's a shame because any legitimate debate
they might have is sullied when you know their method is deceptive.

I was merely quoting your words. Maybe I put to much emphasis on words that
people say and should've thought "maybe he means protest or demonstrate"?
I did, but then wondered why the choice word of riot came up. I guess that
sometimes
I'm just not so quick on the button. You'll have to forgive me.

I'll be responding to the astro-turfing in a bit.

It is amazing, however, that when one side protests is all for valid
reasons. When they other side protests
it's all because they are a bunch of losers.

Will write more later (though I promise not to turn this into another 800
response email thread)
(Twisted the fuck outa my ankle and gotta ice it down right now. And on the
first NICE day of 2009!)

Cheers Oli!

Who said there were tea party "riots"???

I never did. I just pointed out the truth, which is that they are
'astro-turf' (fake grass roots), corporate directed anti-Obama events
designed to give vent to sore losers from the 2008 POTUS election.

As far as the teabagging fests, which looked like the worst Sarah Palin
rallies from last year, this man is my hero:

He 'infiltrated' a tea party and actally said something that was true. He's
got big bals for doing that, because most of the people at them are nuts.
Accordingly, he gets booed.
