I respectfully disagree. The 90s was full of groundbreaking and innovative music, particularly in electronic music.
In fact, Bass production became wondeful in the 90s :D

I respectfully disagree. Bands like Soundgarden, Pearl Scam, Crudhoney, the band that did "I'm free to do what I want", Nirvana, Offspring, etc. are ver unappealing to me. The only thing I remember liking about the 90s was Rancid, and of course Pandemonium.

Yeah, I remember that dude (handsome guy w/long curley hair).
RE: the 80s, if you were in the USA it was UNPARALLELED for music:
Husker Du, Replacements, Jason & the Scorchers, Decendents, Minutemen, Meat Puppets, Black Flag, Soul Asylum, millions of Boston bands (Dogmatics, Scruffy the Cat, etc.), Gun Club, Dead Kennedys, Pylon, etc etc.
You're right about the clothes though, they were awful.
