Yeah, those weird movies with Marlon Brando :). My favorite is "Dog Day Afternoon". What a strange role that he completely owned.

If you haven't already, you gotta watch Alpa Chino's "Serpico," "Cruising,"
"Donnie Brasco," and "Dog Day Afternoon." He was also in some early 70s
movie with James Caan and Marlon Brando and James Duval, I forget the name............... ;~D

They keep playing that movie over and over in my neck of the woods. It is a great film, he was all over the map emotionally but he wasn't a cartoon..yet. We sure have the 70s nostalgia thing going on. There is such a contrast between the acting styles Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro, and Jack Nicholson in the 70s to their mimickry of today. I mean, I can't hear Al Pacino's name without wanting to say "BOOOYAH!!!", but he really was a great actor. Le sigh.

Great scene, I like how he was both crying and speaking rationally just before that.
That, and how he gets rattled in the helicopter with the judge - right before the judge
lands in the river.

You know, reading all your posts I feel like screaming like Al Pacino in "And Justice For All""I'm Out of Order? No, You're Out of Order! The Whole System is Out of Order"!!!!!!!!!!

The problem is that the Joint Chief of Staff does not have operational command of the U.S. Military. So hehas no clue how the gov't works as well.Hmmmm....I guess that sorta evens out the "best candidate" arguemtn ehhh?At 03:53 PM 9/12/2008, Karen Weil wrote:
